Disse fingrene / these fingers

tilhører Martial Solal. Om du ikke vet det, så har han vært Frankrikes ledende jazzmusiker i mer enn 50 år. Han var bl.a.med på Django Reinhardts siste plateinnspilling i 1953 (her på youtube), og har spilt sammen med mange av de største folka fra USA. Og så er han filmmusikkomponist, han lagde musikken til Jean-Luc Godards Á bout de souffle (på norsk: Til siste åndedrag). Han fylte 80 for snart tre år siden og i fjor gjorde han en liveinnspilling på Village Vanguard i New York med denne anmeldelsen i All About Jazz. Ikke akkurat stive fingre, nei!

belong to Martial Solal. If you did not know, he has been the leading jazz musician in France for more tha 50 years. He played piano on Django Reinhardt's last recording before he died in 1953, and has played with the greatest musicians from the US. He is also a film music composer, amongst many, he made the music to Godard's Á bout the souffle. He was 80 three years ago, and last year he did a live recording at Village Vanguard in New York, with these recencian in All About Jazz. Not exactly stiff fingers!


here på Montmartre i går spilte han sammen med Danmarks store bassist, Mads Winding. Lekent og virtuost vridde og vrengte de på velkjente jazzlåter (dvs mest Solal, Winding hadde til tider sin fulle hyre med å følge 82-åringen). En fin kveld (til tross for nokså dyr billett, DKK 485)
